A standard English will usually starts by cancelling every will you have made before, wherever you made it. If you have a will in another country, that line can undo it. Our international will is worded so your English will covers what it should and leaves your other wills in place.
I have no will anywhere yet. Is this still for me?
Yes, if you own something outside the UK or have close family abroad. We’ll make sure your English will is clear about what it covers, and tell you if you should also make a will in your other country.
Can you write my will for the other country too?
This service prepares your will for England and Wales. If you need a will for another country, we’ll explain how the wills should work together and when to speak to a specialist there.
Do you give foreign legal or tax advice?
No. We make sure your English will works alongside your other wills, but we do not give legal or tax advice on other countries’ law. If you need it, we’ll tell you.
